A Little Panda. A Big Door. A Book 2 Sneak Peek.

You’ve been cheering Ziggy on, and I thought it was time to reward all that panda encouragement with a little peek inside The Bamboo Chronicles: Book 2. 🐼✨

We’re heading to the Citadel of Imagination. Ziggy has arrived, the doors are opening, and, for once, even Master Quill isn’t saying anything.

I’d be a little concerned about that last part. 😂

Here’s your sneak peek:

The Gates of the Citadel opened without making a sound.

Ziggy had expected something enormous.

A groan of ancient hinges, perhaps. A blast of wind. Maybe even one of those dramatic trumpet noises Barnaby sometimes made when he was pretending the laundry basket was a royal carriage.

Instead, the great golden-wood doors simply moved apart.

Slowly.

Quietly.

As though they had been waiting for him.

Ziggy stood very still.

Aurum hovered near his shoulder, her transparent silver wings catching the strange light beyond the doorway. Scribble perched on the railing beside him in his familiar paper-airplane shape, his little eyes fixed on the widening gap between the doors.

Behind them, the Twilight Express gave a soft hiss of steam.

Conductor Snip removed his bright orange cap.

Master Quill leaned on his old paintbrush walking stick and watched Ziggy through his round silver spectacles.

Ziggy looked at him.

Master Quill said nothing.

That was never a good sign.

Or perhaps it was.

With Master Quill, Ziggy was beginning to suspect the two were often the same thing.

The doors opened wider.

And the Citadel of Imagination appeared.

Ziggy forgot to breathe.

And that’s where I’m leaving you for now. Yes, right at the door. I know. 😂💕

Book 2 is taking shape, and I’m so excited to share this next adventure with you. Thank you for every follow, every kind word, and every time you’ve stopped to see what this little panda is up to. It means so much watching a world that began with a pencil and a blank page find its people.
